Editors’ Prerogative

Note to Contributors

We appreciate hearing about your gathering, a coven’s ritual, a group’s charitable work, or your favorite artist.  We really enjoy seeing photos of your herb garden or your dance workshop.  We love listening to your recordings.  However, your article, column, opinion, sound file, photo or video must be more than just an advertisement for your event or your product.  Your material should be interesting to other Pagans and Nature Spiritualists around the country – even around the world.  Writers:  What was the most transformative experience at the festival? What was most fascinating about meeting your favorite author?  How is your Bealtaine ceremony unique?  You get the idea.  Articles, opinions, columns and so forth should read less like a press release and more like a literary journal.  Editors may limit shameless self-promotion in favor of material with solid content.  Artists and Musicians:  How is your work spiritually uplifting?  Does it make us think?  Is it compellingly emotive?  Your sunrise ritual may have been breathtaking – show us!  Your drumming might be amazing – let us hear you!
